NEED HELP WITH 93 HATCH WITH LS SWAP!!!
i just finished a LS swap into my hatch. The timing is set at the white mark. I adjusted the air-fuel ratio as well. Every time i go start it up the car just cranks crazy as if it needs a new starter or jump from another battery. I then readjusted the white timing mark to the red mark, this time the car starts up with no problem, but the RPM is setting way above 1 (this makes the car eating a lot of fuel). I don't know what to do now. Is it the timing? is it something to do with the starter, battery?

i don't see why you would have to mess with the A/F ratio if you're just swapping it in. just run a stock LS ecu and see if it starts up.

Wait a min... i didn't adjust the air/fuel ratio. What i adjusted was the idle on the intake manifold...what was i thinking ....anyhow, anyone in here still know whats wrong with the timing and idling? it seems like the ignition needs some sort of memory.
