Help, Can this be repaired???
Well i finally recieved the ITR cylinder head i bought and once opening it up and taking everything out i found a small peice of alumium in the box and was like oh **** then looked at the head and saw that the peice broke off the top of the head right at the intake cam seal and were the valvecover would sit at the corner. Looking at the head and the peice and the box you can see the ******* Post office dropped it. A 50lbs head is going to hit pretty hard. I was wondering if maybe i could dremel it down and smooth it out so the peice fits again andi could hold the piece in place with this magnum metal puddy stuff i have. It gets as hard as metal and should hold the peice in place. Would it be worth it? Or take it to the post office and claim it damaged and collect the insurance. I bought the head to replace mine cause i have a burnt exhaust valve. But also thinking that i could take the complete valvetrain out and put it in my head that only has a damaged valve so everything will work, then take the head to the post office and claim the head damaged and get my money and in the meantime have a working head until i can get another one.
I have another question is there any kind of how to on how to disassymble the head assy. valvetrain like the rocker assy, lostmotion assy, and removal and replace of valveseals. I am still waiting on the upper engine seal kit i bought from Len and also my ARP head studs. I have the tool to compress the valvesprings and know how to do that, i just need to know how to remove the valve seals and LMAs to reinstall the ITR components in my original B16 head. Heres some pics.

Its not a structural area, its a sealing surface to the valve cover. You can epoxy (jb weld epoxy works well) it back in place and lightly file it flat with the rest of the surface.I'd give the insurance deal at the post office a try first.

If you try to file a an insurance claim make sure that it was packaged very very very very.... very well. IE break out some of your own padding before it get inspected.
Otherwise they will pull the "item wasn't packaged correctly" bs
Good luck

pull the good valvetrain out of the busted head you got and then take it back. Make them pay for this. Don't epoxy or weld it or whatever, demand satisfaction.
jb-weld
and about the whole valvetrain taking apart thing...umm....everyhtign is pretty self explanitory jus dont get **** out of order....and idk how to valve stem seals....but they take for-*******-ever

Well its either try this other stuff that i think is better then JB weld and is good up to 500 degrees constant which is good, or find a machine shop here in germany to mig weld it into place. I would really like to keep the head if possible.I waited this long to get it just for this **** to happen. And i dont want to go through the waiting again to get another head. Other option is to take the complete valvetrain out and sway into my B16 head.
