gsr block uses a girdle and has oil squiters, you can use ur gsr crank, rods, and pistons in a ls block but u wont have a girdle or oil squirters. just hone the gsr block n see if it fixes it or get .020 over pistons n go 81.5mm

If you bore the cylinder walls then you will need oversized pistons.

boreing is making it bigger and making sure the cyl is perfectly round all the way down and fresh (best thing to do)

hone just cleans it up alittle...if u said the scratches arnt deep at all a honda might be enough.

Didn't know honda was a machining prosses..lol

Boring a block is a cutting process used to enlarge the cylinder size.It is a ruffing process usually accurate to about a .001".This is followed by honing the bores. This is a grinding operation that is very accurate that leaves the cylinders very round.Honing also leaves a crosshatch pattern that helps in ring break in.This is a very accurate operation that is repeatable to .0001".
You can hone a small amount or material out of the bores without having to go to the next piston oversize.

dont run with scratches. take the block to a machine shop and ask them if a hone will take car of it.
