I would replace the rings. Their is no point to put the old ones back in if u got them out did all the ringlands on the pistons look good? how does the head look? Was the motor "in time"? Just a few other areas to look

you might be able to get away with re-using the piston rings if you keep them in the same exact order they came out.
but still pointless if you ask me...rinds and bearings are not all that much and you'll pretty much have a rebuilt bottom end

Do NOT re-use the rings.

New rings are rigid and the material is resistant to bending. Upon installation, using proper methods, they will present you with no issue.

Old rings are soft and malleable and can easily twist/bend/etc. damaging the bore on re-install if one is not cranking up the spring compressor to a high rate and aligning them perfectly.

Not to mention it's just a stupid idea anyways.

If you have all new bottom end bearings - it's time to bore .25 or .50 mm over and rehone - along with new pistons (that are .25 or .50 mm over). But at the minimum if reusing the old pistons with a fresh set of rings: I'd still have a machine shop check for trueness of bore and hone it if it's in spec.
