civic si & civic ex suspension
I'm talkin about the newer models... 96-00 ex and 99-00 si... i heard they use the same suspension, (shocks, springs) and are basically the same, but that the si has a front strut bar, rear strut and rear tie bar? Then, someone says that si has a sportier/stiffer shock/spring setup than the ex... does anyone here know? thanks!
The Si has the bars you were mentioning and has slightly stiffer springs and shocks I believe as well. It doesn't take much aftermarket wise to make your car handle better than a stock Si though.
As far as I know the SI uses both stiffer shocks and springs than the EX.
so shocks are the same as ex then? or not? well not like it really matters to me anymore *shrug*

I agree with the suspension not stiff enough. So far, i've just installed springs from the Integra Type-R, much, much better. Shocks will come later.
EX:
22 mm front sway bar
no rear sway bar
no front strut
SI:
26mm front sway bar
16mm rear sway bar
front strut bar
firmer shocks and springs, but not by much
