Window Problem NEED HELP!!!!!!!!
I have a 98 civic ex and when i put my window all the way up it doesnt close all the way. When it gets to the top it hits the top and doesnt stay there it tries but doesnt every stay. It isnt off track because i had that checked already. I was wondering if the motor can be going or something like that because no one can seem to figure this out. And i dont wanna bring it to the dealer and pay a huge price for no reason.
So the window goes all the way up, but then falls back down a bit?
That could be something wrong with your motor. It could also be a problem with the window regulator. You might have a few teeth that are broken or missing.
Only way to be sure is to take your door panel off and take a look at it.

it will go all the way up but when it gets to the top it will just keep hitting the top and wont stay at the top. I had someone take the door panel off to see if it was off track but it is not. I was just wondering if this would be covered under a bumper to bumber warranty if it was in fact the regulator or the motor itself. Or if i should just have one of my friends do it for me. Thanks
