b16 to gsr

Default b16 to gsr

ok, i swapped my obd0 b16 for a obd1 gsr, still running pr3 ecu for the meantime, and im getting code 23, which is knock sensor, ive replaced the sensor and reset everything, and im still throwing the code... any inputs?

Check the wiring does it go to B19? Check continuity. Then check the ecu.

did you have to wire the knock sensor? i know that in eg swaps with a gsr you need to wire it.

it was already wired with the b16, still is wired but no worky

yea starts and runs fine, even crosses over into vtec (which i herd it doesnt when throwing that code), check engine light bugs the **** outta me tho

Well, if the wires are good then replace the knock sensor.

One time I went to the track and met someone with a B16A swap in a 1990-1993 Integra. He was running a VTEC solenoid code, despite the fact that his VTEC solenoid was hooked up, the wiring was good, and there was nothing wrong with the ECU. It turns out the pin was bent on the VTEC solenoid plug. So it would not plug in correctly. Straightening the pin corrected the problem. Check this to see if it could be a problem. Also, the knock sensor uses only a sinlge pin in a two pin plug. Make sure the one pin is in the correct space to connect the solenoid.
