91 ls shift linkage

Default 91 ls shift linkage

few quick questions, i have the shifter out and i need to get the linkage off the tranny, i'm stuck at the joint on the tranyy side of the linkage there are no bolts here just pins, how does it come apart, the books i have for the car don't help too much here.

If your trying to remove the shift linkage from the tranny, there is a little pin with a hole in it that connects the two. Just take something that will fit in the hole and whack with hammer. I think me and my friend used a tapon (sp.) screw. Once we got the pin out we just broke the screw and reused the pin later. Hope that helps.

the one with the clip right? i was going to do that but the book says you have to replace that so i wasn't too sure thanks
