JDM D15 V-tec engine code?

dont know if im understanding your question right..are you referring to the jdm d series...or the d series vtec that comes in like the ex?....if its the jdm one your asking about its a d15b

oh cool, i thought the JDM D15b was just the CX/DX engines. Well im going to buy a long block for $190, so i cant check out the head to see the p08. But thanks for the info.

the jdm d15b is just that, its a D15B
there are other engines with more digits in the code
the d15b7 for example yes(dx engine)
but there is also the d15b8 d15z1 and probably one or two others I'm not thinking of..
d15b is NOT an abbreviation for a 1.5L dseries engine,
but some people might say "d15" for short when speaking generally about those engines..

why cant you look at teh head of a longblock? a longblock is oil pan to head....

As far as I know a longblock is a tranny+block+head. Short block is block+head. Hey what is the D15z1, I never heard of that engine?
Well, I went to the place in Berkley and the guy told me over the phone 195 dollars for a longblock. But when I got there. He was talking about the short block being the longblock and that is 195. Plus they wanted the tranny for $320. And if I wanted the whole engine, I had to pay $680 plus an exchange of my engine. I told them to go suck a *****'s dick.
