Default Can someone diagnose my engine problem? *VIDEO*

http://www.nok7.com/noise.avi

in the video i'm adjusting the distributor and the TPS sensor to change the tone of the noise. If I had a light and voltmeter those would be set and i wouldnt be tinkering with them.. but since I don't and theyre not set they are great for changing the tone.

note. b18c1 swap into EH3.

possibilities,...

pinging.. since i have a LOT of 87 octane.. with a bottle of 108 octane booster. I think tomarrow would be a good day to buy some premium and pour it in.

knocking? I sure hope not... it is louder from under the car??

My uncle thinks its some exhaust leak... since i have no gasket on the 2 peice stock manifold seam and the manifold/cat isn't very tight...

or maybe something is just flapping...

or the valves.. oh god no not the valves!

someone help me =[ =[

note: it wasnt allways like this.. this started today. I don't even drive the car, its still on jackstands, I was messing with my throttle bodies (had strange TPS codes) and then the noise started)

you need to fix your obvious problems first-exhaust leak,TPS and timing-before trying to figure out what's wrong with it.
hard to tell from the video, since it distorts the sound so much.check valve lash, check that crank pulley isn't rubbing the timing belt cover.sound kinda sounds like an exhaust leak anyway.
car will idle without knocking on 87 octane.

thats funny.. cause i am using a D16Y7 clutch cover plate only because I dont have a b18c1 version.

so it does NOT fit at all... but it serves its purpose.. but I dont tihnk its hitting.. i'll check that too. don't know why that would change with timing/tps though. thanks i'll check in daylight

It does not sound good! hard to tell but, u definately have an internal engine problem. When u get closer to the engine to "adjust" the distributor you can hear the engine pinging! Most likely because u advanced the hell out of the timing but even before then u can hear the engine knocking. Get some equipment fast and adjust that car the right way.
