Default Help w/ choosing Turbo.

I'm currently saving up for a custom turbo system by this fall or next spring and can't decide what size turbo to use for the horsepower goal I want. My goal is to make at least 250-300 for street, and 400 for the track (at a later time since I'll still have stock internals for awhile). I've been checking out the turbonetics website and others, also I've been reading alot of SCC as of late. In one of the articles (I can't remember which one though) it talked about using a divided exhaust housing and how it could benefit on a 4 cyl. motor. Does anyone here run a divided exhaust housing or know of someone who does? How do you/they like it? So far I've been doing alot of research on the T04E and 60-1 Hi-Fi turbo(s). Does anyone have any experince with these turbos? I'm not too worried about lag, but would these turbo(s) be suitable for the street? Also, would it be better to run a full engine managment system or just piggy-back systems? If you guys have any suggestions please feel free to let me know. I would also like to know what you guys think of this set-up. I.E. Am I crazy, sounds good, HAHAHA Yeah right!! lol! TIA

I know that for the HP #'s you are talking about, you will pretty much have to run a standalone or it will be a ticking time-bomb. I recommend Hondata!

Does anyone have this set-up or a similar set-up? I would like to know so that I can do some more research and learn about both these turbos. Unfortunately, no shops in my area have tuned with Hondata. I asked about it a couple of times and they told me that they want to try out the new AEM EMS. A friend of mine has the 4b on his Drag 3 kit, but has to drive all the way to Tampa to get it tuned. Hopefully the shop that I go to will tune Hondata soon.

Guys are spitting out over 300whp on tuned DRAG kit's, so you could always go that route whih it's easier than peiceing one together yourself.. just one possibility.

True.....but I just like the idea of being able to pick the parts that I want and actually need. Plus I heard the manifold and wastegate on the Drag kit is no good. Yeah it would be easier, but I dont feel like spending more to replace certain parts of a kit. Plus like i posted earlier a friend of mine has a Drag 3 kit w/ Hondata and doesnt use most of the pieces that came with the kit.
