91 civic lower starter bolt?
Lotta times, it's easier to go in from the bottom, out near the side. Take off the splash guards on the passenger side (the car should be on jackstands already before you do this.
), and go in from the passenger side wheel well. Should make it at least where you can see that damn thing. A flashlight might help, too. That one's a bitch to get back in, too. It's a sumbitch when you're working on stuff that you can't see...

well seeing as my 3/8ths ratchets wouldnt fit
i was forced to use 1/4 stuff
we broke 2 swivlers and 1 ratchet
all mac (amen to life warentee)
but i got it
im not looking forward to putting it back in

its not that hard with a 3/8ths though the wheel well...
Just have to use hella extensions to bring the ratchet in to the well to get good turns on it...

Lube that lower bolt with some anti-sieze before reinstalling it, and BE CAREFUL not to get it cross-threaded. Easy to do when working blind and by feel alone, especially when you're threading a hardened steel bolt into soft aluminum... Go ahead, ask me how I know. And why one of our recent cars has one bolt holding the starter on. 
Just as long as that one bolt stays nice 'n' toight...
