Default climate control problem

about 8 months ago i removed my dash to replace my firewall harness. I had to remvove the blower motor and some other things under the dash as well. Now its raining in socal and i tried to turn on the defroster for the windshild and no air comes out of the top windshield vents. Air does come through the main forward vents though. When i hit the button for the air to change vents i do not here the ducts opening or closing like i do in other integras. What might i have messed up? i really need to defrost my windshield in the mornings. any ideas? thanks

Well it could be that you forgot to plug in the harness that controls the servo motors. I don't know offhand where they are all located, except that one that controls the fresh air/recirculate damper on the blower unit.

Just curious, how did you get your blower unit out? Did you discharge the A/C and remove the evaporator first like the Helms says you have to? I managed to get my blower unit out w/o removing the evaporator by separating the upper and lower halves of the blower unit. I had to get it out to seal up a hole under the dash where water was coming in.

*edit* are you sure you plugged BOTH climate control harnesses back in that sit behind the radio/console area when you put the dash back on?

Nah bro my interior is already black although I would like to have black carpet instead of light gray.

I had to take the dashboard and blower unit out this past weekend to fix the hole under the dash where water was entering the car.

Nah just remove the center console and radio, and you should see 2 large harness plugs (besides the stereo harness plug). If you look in my pic, 45 degrees up and to the right of the steering wheel (under the blanket) you can see the black harness on the front of the heater core that curves down, and ends with a harness plug. There is also another harness and plug coming off the right side of the heater core (closer to the evaporator). Both of these plug into harness plugs on the dashboard.

both of the gray plugs are plugged in. When i put the air at my face its fine, when i put it on the defogger it goes to my feet. No air comes out of the top vents. Is there anyway i could manually open that vent to always stay on? thanks i really need to defog my window in the morning and its a pain in the *** to keep wiping it down.

That's odd, you must have messed up the servo motors or somehow got some wires crossed. Did you do anything to the dashboard harness? The firewall harness you replaced, where did it come from?

I have no idea, I don't know how those servos operate.
