Don't forget too, if you get a header you will have to get some type of cat to put further downstream in the exhaust system.

The D16Y7's, which is what's in your DX, has a cat as part of the header(that's what the huge bulge is).

Just get an EX or SI cat and put it in right after the header.

 

Everyone lists all models for the 96 EXCEPT the DX. Tons? I just don'r see it.

Yep just swap an exhaust manifold and cat off of an EX (Si Canada) onto your car and you'll be set. Or you can buy a header for an EX and swap it on using the ex cat or aftermarket one.

PS- If you do this mod you'll need to extend the O2 sensor wires as they'll be located in a different place.

True, I forgot about this.

You can buy one for an EX: 92-00 Civic SOHC and it will fit on your DX.
