f-max install questions
I've got the tial wastegate and hks racing blowoff valve. There are two ports on both the wastegate and blowoff valve. Can anyone explain what each one goes to. I assume the top one on the blowoff valve goes to a vaccum source, and the bottom one if left open.
Also, where am I tapping in to get oil for the turbo. I know how it is done, I just don't know where it is at.

Ok, vacuum source to top port on BOV.
Boost source to side port on WG. (boost is either from the compressor or the manifold, I like the compressor better)
For the oil feed use the spot for the oil sendor unit. (right to the left of the oil filter. you need a 15/16" deep socket to get it out) The spot is 1/8" BSPT, and you need 1/8" NPT. FMAX supplied a tap, but I chose to use the Z10 fitting.

for the WG, the side port goes to a boosted source. The top port is for a boost controller. I believe you leave the side port on the BOV open...but im not sure.
for oil, most people tap the oil pressure sensor at the back of the block, just right above the oil filter. This seems to be a topic of debate, as some people claim it is unfiltered oil. I have heard that you can tap into a source right below the distributor on the head....i plan on testing this source for oil pressure when my gauge comes. I bet more than 90% of the people on here have tapped their oil pressure sensor for oil though, that is the standard
