Default Need Help w/ Boost Controller Please

Please help.
I have a blitz boost controller. The instructions show connecting the top of the wastegate to the output of the solenoids and the input of the solenoids goes to a prethrottle body connection. where exactly can I hook into for this connection.

Does the other port on the wastegate stay connected to the fitting on the compressor?

Take the line from the compressor and put a tee on it. Hook one line to the side port on the wastegate.

Take the other line from the tee, and connect it to the solenoid in port. Then connect the solenoid out port to the top port on the wastegate.

So, do you connect the side port on your BOV to that same connection too? Or do you leave it unconnected?

thanks!

BOV does not really have a side port.

If you are referring to the wastegate, you connect the side port to the tee I told you to install in my previous post.

thanks Dustin. I got all that. I was wondering about the Blow off valve. there is a top port (goes to manifold) and a side port. the HKS diagrams show the side port connecting to the compressor/boost fitting. Some say leave it off. What do you do? Do I connect it to the compressor fitting? If so, that would mean 3 things Tee'd off of that fitting on the compressor.

I do not think you have to hook that up. It should be able to read pressure from the intake piping itself.

Dustin,
I have heard that by connecting these vacuum hoses from the compressor, you are getting slightly inaccurate figures because it's positioned pre-intercooler. Since there is a pressure drop after circulating through the IC, teeing from the intake manifold vacuum lines would be a better choice. Is this correct?

As to the boost controller, I thought that you specifically Don't connect it to vaccum (ie post throttle body/manifold) that it has to be a boost source (either compressor, or I suppose I would have to drill a hole and make a new fitting in the intake piping before the tb).

What is the right way?

I heard that for the BOV, that having the extra connection to boost gives better response. True?

It does not matter with an EBC. EBCs have their own pressure sensor that is tapped at the manifold. The pressure at the compressor is only used to physically actuate the wastegate.
