Removing tranny (4th gen)
hey i burned out my clutch/ flywheel this summer and need to replace both over winter. I was wondering if there was a way to take off the bottom guard under the engine off, unbolt it, and take it off w/o having to take apart a buncha extra from the engine to get to it?
any guidance or pictures would be greatly help and be appreciated!
thanx

i'm not 100% clear on wut ur askin, but to take the tranny off, the only other stuff you need to remove are the cv axles and clutch lines, and probably the splash guard if u still have it. other than that its just unbolting the tranny. dunno if that helped at all.

agree... total pain in the ***, and time consuming. not to mention that tranny's aren't the lightest thing around and u hafta maneuver the hell outta it
