Just make sure you're putting it on evenly. And keep wiggling/sliding it. It may take you 15 minutes of wiggling to get it on there, but eventually it should slide back in.

yeah I never done it while the engine is still inside the engine bay, but you need to wigle it around while pushing on it.

its easyer with 2 people, have one person "bench Press" the tranny on his chest, while the other person guides it from the top, works well, just wiggle that ****.

The B and H were proved to weigh 100 and 123 lbs respectively.

The D weighs less than either of those.

is the imput shaft going in at all? do you have a half shaft? is the clutch aligned properly?

make sure it is going in striaght the splines will not go together if it is going in at an angle, and when it is in do not let the trans rest there w/out bolst being in it or the mount on and hooked up.

One time I was trying to get the tranny back onto my friends Impreza 2.5RS and I just couldnt get the damn thing on for the life of me. I literally spent about an hour benching the bitch up onto the car and trying to wiggle it in. The input shaft would go most of the way in and then would stop. After getting extrememly frustrated I pulled the tranny all the way off to look at the clutch. I used the alignment tool that came with the clutch kit to align the thing but the tool was so shitty and loose that the clutch wasn't exactly straight with the pilot bearing on the flywheel. I ended up realigning the clutch and threw the tranny back on in less then 10 minutes.

Yeah that pissed me off for about a week.....

Usually the problem is that the input shaft isn't ligning up with the clutch friction plate. Either you didn't align the clutch before tightening it down, or you just need to wiggle the tranny around a little more.

Tranny jacks, brute strength, or a couple friends definitely make things easier.

Maybe those were the blocks then.. on me. I was referring to the B vs. H weight thread and got the block confused with the tranny. Thanks for being on top of things Kamin.

EDIT: STREETWERKZ and cxSHOE both of you bickering are destroying a legitimate thread. Keep it on topic and your childish arguments in PM or you WILL be loosing points. Please delete your comments from the thread if they are not pertaining to the topic. If they are not deleted, I will do so and will dock points.

EDITx2: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=684550

There's the thread. Check out the tranny weights in there.
