Compression and leakdown test

And if you consume a lot of oil

160km's is only like 100k miles, not huge

I boosted my Crx with 279km's, mind you it lasted about 2 weeks but it was fun while it lasted

Canadian winters killed that car

its probably not a very good idea to turbo it, if its consuming a lotta oil. but do a comp. and leakdown test like everyone else suggested and post up the numbers here.

I had boosted mine with lots of miles, I think it was 140,000. As long as you do a compression test and # are ok and good tunning after that you'll be fine.

u think i should even bother geting a compressin test and all that. Even if i have a lil main seal lek and is useing more oil than it should. ? going to need a clutch installed to but thats with most turbo cars. But i dont no.. if i go for a si engine its probly easy to put in a clutch be for i swap it in and all that and will cost less money for labor? what do u thinks the smart way to go i realy want to trubo it bec its cheeper than buy a other engine but i dont want to wast my money >> please help me thanks...

well if ur thinkin of getting an Si (d16z6) engine, then ur not gonna be wasting anything by getting a turbo setup now, as you can swap tht over to the new setup.
you can wait till you get the swap and do it once and do it right. or if ur a lil impatient (like me ) go ahead and throw a turbo on this motor and see wht she can do.

dont worry about fixing the leaks man, compresison test it (takes 10 min and you can buy the tester for $24.99 at canadian tire, very easy to do)

Just when you turbo the car, make sure you have a spare engine or access to one asap so your car wont be down for long

Just beat the **** out of your dx until it takes a ****, swap in the new motor and transfer over the turbo **** to the Z6 engine

Id look into buying a D16a6 though, you can grab them with trannies and axles @ Speedpro on Spedina road for $100
