Default OK rust vs bad rust

i'm planning on buying an eh3 sometime soon with my uci grant money for dirt cheap, and wanted to know what good rust was and what bad rust was. my plan is to buy a beat up 92 Si and paint it, but i heard dealing with rust can be a major pain in the ***, and costly too.

any information about rust on civics (92-95 specifically) would be awesome, thanks.

rust is rust and its not good for metal. a little rust can turn into a hole in the body and thats not good.

look above the rear wheel wells. that is prone to rust in that year, i have it on both sides of my civic. there is a piece of plastic that honda put there to stop rust but it just lets water be trapped and makes it rust quicker, so first off remove that.

also if it is surface rust it is fairly easy than a whole, all you have to do is grind it down so there is no more and either add bondo, or paint. with a whole you have to grind weld and bondo then paint.
