Are you talking about the lower ball joint? If so just replace the ball joint.

Yes and no. I've placed them back in with a rubber hammer and a piece of wood. Just grease the sides up and take your time.

yeah take the knuckle off and take it to a shop and have them pressed out and new ones pressed back in. there is a snap ring on the ball joint that will need to be taken off before this is done. next time your working on ball joints after you take the nut off put a piece of hose over the bolt to make sure the threads don't get messed up while your working on you car.

i'm not to sure about the hammer. i did all the bushings and ball joints on my front end last weekend. i have a 12 ton press and those things were a pain in the *** to get out and in. the wheel bearings were worse.

Trust me, it if you don't go wacking the **** out of it then you'll be fine.

There is no need for a press when it comes to ball joints now wheel bearings sure as hell require them.
