Doesnt start sometimes
Sometimes my car doenst start. Its not all the time ill go to turn on the car turn the key and nothing. It doenst even try to turn over. I usually just keep tryin in tryin no noise or any thing and sometimes it just starts others i have to keep tryin. Would this be my starter or what?
Probably not...
You say you turn the key and nothing happens. DO you mean it does not click or anything?
When you turn the key, have you noticed if any electrical components work also like the radio or something.
It could very well be:
1. electrical connection to the starter are bad
2. ground strap from battery is bad
3. ignition switch is bad

check the battery wire...
i had the same problem cause i relocated the battery to the trunk and when i split the positive wire...and reconnected it ...connection wasn't really good...so occasionally same problem would happen to me..
go to start and nothing...no starter click or nothing only thing i really heard was a multiple relay click...probably from the (ELD) electronic load detector..
but once i re-did the connection w/ copper and soldier it never happened again...

Well, if all your electrical stuff comes on, then we can safely say that electricity is flowing from the battery all the way to the switch and to the electrical components like the radio.
So then, the problem could be the circuit from the switch to the starter.
If, when the switch is at the start position, and you do not hear at least a click from the starter, and btw your battery is fully charged, then measure if you have voltage to the starter. If not, you found your problem. if yes, you found your problem also.

I had a very similar problem and tested all switchs. My problem ending up being a tiny split in the wire to the starter. It was a real bitch but I would look there first and then to the ignition switch.
good luck

...or it could be the main relay under the dash. Next time you turn on the car, turn the key to acc, and notice how you see the lights on the dash come on, then you hear a click from under the dash as the abs lights and such turn back off.
when you start the car, you'll hear that same click again. that's the main relay.
When your car refuses to start, do you ever hear that first click? If not, I'd say it's your relay. When mine went out, I could push the brake pedal and get all kinds of weird clicking noises from the relay. anyhow, do a search for main relay and you'll find how to repair it, if you think it's the problem.
