when i try to start my car, every now and then, it won't. when I turn the key, i just hear a loud click, but engine doesnt turn over, then if i try it 2nd time or 3rd time, then it'll start. it's not the battery, since there's a lot of power left. I think it's the starter, but can it be something else?? ignition switch maybe? thanks

 

sounds like the starter...does the car start when you "pop/push" start it? try tapping the starter with a hammer(remember tap, not smash ) and see if it starts after that...your starter might be "sticky"

 

Sounds like a starter but did you check your battery also? How are the battery cables look? If it's corroded you'd want to change both positive & negative.

 

nah. its not the battery since it still can play the radio well and when it does start the, it spins the starter with a lot of power. probably the starter.. thanks guys
