kind of sounds like the shift fork(s) are bent. Start with the easy stuff, check the fluid, how recently has it been changed? Clutch been changed lately?

i'd check the rezzy first to see if it's full and bleed the system. a clutch on it's way out can often cause the same effects though...

Do this simple test: When the car is running and you can't put it in gear, shut the car off and see if it goes into gear easily. If it does it's a clutch problem in which case some part of it has failed and you'll need to change the clutch with another new one. If it doesn't go into gear and seems the same, then it's a transmission problem like bent shift forks or other internal problems.

Yep that's right, but you will probably have to bleed the clutch now since you may have air in it. Keep an eye on the fluid level to since you probably have a leak and will need to repair/replace something (probably the master cylinder).
