car wont start
ok been having some probs with the lude, 99 base. In the fall it kept starting really weak, but it would start. then as soon as it got really cold, it would crank a couple times then stop, and just click. so i had to go home (4 hours away) from school, and left it there. when i came back i got a new starter, installed it, same results. I took my cousin's corrola battery and tried it with the new starter, still nothing. I then took my old starter in to test, and it worked fine. So got my car towed and all the guy did was charge my batter and put the stock starter back in, and it worked. So i drove it for 2 days, and the start kept getting weaker and weaker, till today, it died on me again. I know my starter's working fine, i think its the battery, but it was just fully charged 3 days ago, does it just suck and i need a new battery? It still has enough power to power all my lights and music and stuff? Any ideas? Alternator is working too.
Have you taken your car in for the recall on the ignition switch? If not, you should do that, cause that may be your problem. I have to take mine in tomorrow, cause mine is starting to act up
I thought the problem with the ignition switch was that it would like turn off when it wasn't soppose to or something? anyways, i have a friend who works at honda check my vin number out to see if i could get it done for my car, but my specific car didn't have that recall, so its not that, and it seems to be fine anyways,
already checked the battery, like i said, its powering my lights and stereo and everything else, and the car started after the battery was fully charged, i'm thinking the battery is bad
