Having issues starting car...
So here is whats wrong, Car about a few months ago just had problems starting one morning, finally got it to start and drove it to work. After work i went to start it and it wouldnt start, fiddled with connection issues, tapped on starter, finally just pushed started it. Few days later it was completely dead. Wouldnt even jump or push start.
I have checked battery connection its fine, Battery is brand new.
Starter works fine as well, found something unplugged at first but its fine now.
Besides the other issues the car has im unsure of what all could cause it to just not run. I mean it wont even jump start anymore it tries and tries but it wont.

check the alternator, and pull the starter as well and take them in and have them tested at a parts store, sounds like the alternator is either undercharging or overcharging your battery, as far as the starter, its simple to pull and might as well just make sure.

might as well take the battery in as well, since it is new it should still have a warranty if its bad, if its not it will have a full charge on it after testing, my guess is the alternator is toasted and may have taken the battery out as well.

yea they said the started wouldnt even engage it was ****ed and the alternator once it was plugged in the charge went straight to zero. it will be about 260 to replace both. ill be putting them in on saturday.
another issue i gotta fix is my coolant leak into my passenger floorboard, heater core isnt installed and i think they didnt reroute it correctly.

get the alternator and starter tested somewhere else.. the chance of them both going dead at the same time is one in eleventy billion.

He wasn't being a dick you are just sensitive. He was only trying to help. Take it to another parts store and have it tested.
I work at a parts store and see this all the time. People will come in and say they just had it tested and someone told them it was a bad and then when I test it, it tests good. Spend the extra 10 minutes and have it tested elsewhere, it may save you some money.
Have you tried hooking it up to a battery to see if it engages?

Re: Having issues starting car...
if i had my camera i would take pics of how mine is routed, i completely removed my heater core so i just looped the hose off the thermostat housing back in to the back of the block where the other hose would normally be
