Default Downpipe gasket

Does anyone know where I can get a 5bolt downpipe gasket, or where I can buy that gasket matterial to make my own gasket, My downpipe flange is warped ever so slightly and will not seal completely. I do not have the time or tools to replace the flange right now, so I'm looking for a temporary fix. I would really like to find that gasket matterial that is included in SSAC manifolds, it is really thick and flexible, kind of looks like it is wrapped in tin foil lol.. If anybody knows where I could get a sheet of that stuff that would be perfect to hold me over until summer.

Dont even bother with those gasket.. Get the flange resurfaced and bolt it up with no gasket. Past 5 months... I got over 10 gasket burn on me.. Dont ask me how or why..

All I know, is..... that I removed my Manifold>Turbo and downpipe Gasket.. And used my stock head gasket......and wow.....! turbo spools 7psi easily at 3ooo rpm! Something I didnt had before..

napa sells big sheets of it for pretty cheap. fiber-metal-fiber sandwich. works alright but lasts much longer further down the exhaust path.

Try and borrow a belt sander and flatten out. Just check with a straight edge as you go. no gasket will be much better.

Assuming you have a Ford-style 5 bolt turbine housing, you can pick one up from a Ford dealership. Just have the counter jockey look one up... they were used on the 2.3 liter T-Bird and Merkur Xr4ti's in the mid '80's, but it won't help much if the flange is severely warped.

Not sure what years these were used on the 2.3 Fords, or even if they're still available, but I bought one for a project years ago at a local dealership for ~ $15.

if both surfaces are machined pretty well, gaskets will not be needed

I know that, but they aren't, and I live in an apartment complex, and it is winter and snowy out, I want to just stick a gasket in there to hold me over until I can go home and fix it right. I'll try finding that gasket material at the autoparts store, but I don't recall seeing it before.

I have a sheet of "mr. gasket" stuff that I got for like $5...

It's just a big sheet of gasket material. I didn't make a gasket to go between my turbo and downpipe but it's high-temp stuff and would work for that...

I think I bought it at Napa but I'm not sure... I would think you could pick it up at a number of places...

Don't go and buy a gasket from the dealership, that would be a waste of money when you can buy a sheet of the stuff and make your own for $5...
