i got a 97 prelude and about a month after i got it, the belts ripped off on my way home from somewhere. so i took it to my girlfriends dads friend, who is a mechanic for honda. he said i needed to get a new crank and some other stuff. but he sound like he was ripping me off. so i need know what parts i need so i can tell a friend of mine who works at a import car performance place and he said he can get me a skunk2 crank. but i was wondering if i needed any other parts to go with it. please help!

Did the guy tear it down and tell you the crank is bad?

How do you know it doesn't just need a new pulley
or crank key?

 

yeah he told me the crank is bad and i needed a new one. i also put a new power steering belt on and it seemed to make it wobble even more so after it flew off. so yeah... HELP!

skunk2 makes cranks.....not sure if for h motors though....

get a new set of pulleys from either honda or one of the aftermarkets....

GET A NEW OEM CRANK PULLEY!

try that before you get the new crank shaft, thats probably your only problem....

and DO NOT BUY an aftermarket crank pulley....it will ruin your engine....
