clicking noise?
gotta 93 civic dx theres a noise when i turn normal driving kinda sounds like a baseball card in the spokes of a bike rim. only does it when turning nothing over bumps or anything i checked nothing is rubbing i dont see nething hitting anything lock to lock dont matter how fast u r going or nething its poring rain right now so i can get under it but i looked around under it and under the hood for 10 mins or so long enuff to drip wet with rain and i dont see a damn thing happens both directions any ideas would help a lot im confused as ****
Sounds to me like your CV joint is gone. If your CV boot is ripped and the inside is dry, then the axle needs to be replaced. Autozone will do a core exchange for a rebuilt axle (has a lifetime warranty) for $60 or $70, brand new axle is $99.
i did notice the boots where looking pretty bad i was just hoping that wasnt it till summer would it be safe to put 2000 or 30000 miles on them when they are goin bad till it warms up out

No i do not recommend driving on a bad axle for 2,000 or 30,000 miles.

Theres a possibility it could come apart and you will die. Drive conservitive and you may be ok. Don't neglect it to long though.

Damn, that's a costly break right there. I don't think he will die if they break, but he could get seriously injured when the front end drops and the pieces of the axle go flying everywhere. Just get them fixed. If it's only one replace that one axle and get the other CV BOOT replaced. Don't risk you, the people around you, or your car like that.

**** man, I dunno.. Going 100+ and your axle breaking = Loosing control and possibly dieing..

If he is going 100+ on public streets he needs to die.

Might as well do both. Just a suggestion though. Get the rebuilt ones. If they get fucked up you get a new one for free, and you still have $40 left for something else. And it is ALWAYS a good idea to get an alignment after you do ANY suspension work.

Argue with me if I'm wrong but I don't think changing cv's will affect your alignment. Mostly on Honda/Acura vechiles there is just a toe adjustment I mean there is no way you can adjust your alignment with the cv axles.
but it wont hurt.
