i cant tell which side the clicking noise is coming from. but when i turn i hear a clicking noise. i forget the rule. is it:

clicking on left turn, bad left axle
or
clicking on right turn, bad left axle?

Mine is clicking on right turns and I know for a fact that my Left axle is bad.(right axle is brand new and the left doesn't have a boot on the inner )

Clicking on right turn= left axle bad

Clicking on Left turn= right axle bad

All depends on which boot is torn and which joint is clicking... the inner joint or outer joint. Just jack the car up and get under there with a flash light and look. An easy sign to see which axle is bad, you'll see lots of grease from the axle boot splattered all over the place (most of the time).

 

but none of the boots are ripped.

 

just cause the boot isnt torn dosent mean the axle cant be bad
