Default wiring a tach?

sup ppl?I would like to know how can I wire a tach in my eg6?I currently have the ex cluster with the rpm gauge already,but I just want a tach.Do I have to wire it to the dash or to the igniton?I have no clue.

If you are looking at the engine bay facing the car, just off the firewall on the drivers side there is a single blue wire that terminates. Tap the signal wire from the tach into that, and it's done.

You also have to wire the power, illumination, and ground of course.

hmm,i tried looking for that wire ,but didn't find it.the car used to have the dx cluster so i guess that the tech that installed the ex cluster hid that wire or something.

its almost on the firewall behind the strut tower on drivers side

it is in a little black boot, near the other group of wiring right near the firewall

yup, there are a bunch of wires, almost on the strut tower on the driver side, you can't miss it.
