Default ZC JRSC...fuel and ignition

i've been searching and reading pages and pages of results, but none of them really have what i'm looking for.

i have a DOHC ZC and a JRSC. i don't want to half-*** it this time, so before the SC goes on, i want to get my fuel and ignition figured out.

every search result turns up get hondata, get uberdata, stand-alone this, stand-alone that. it's not that i'm against using any of these, i just haven't found any info on using them with obd0. so i'm guessing you can't?

i want to run the upgraded 8 to 10 pounds of boost. it'll be 'dyno tuned' shortly after it's installed. so i dont' want to be constantly messing with this or that, i just want to get to work everyday.

this is what I WANT, let me know if it'll suffice...
-RC 440 injectors
-SAFC II
-JR BTM
-JR fuel pump

what do you guys think??

I have a Turboedit chipped PM6 ecu that you could use. Purchase that, a fuel pump, and some DSM 450's and your good to go. It will be ten times better than the hack/bandaids.

^^ agreed. if you can find someone to tune locally, they will likely be able to use one of the free tuning programs for your car. plus some upgraded fuel injectors and pump. will be TONS more reliable than an SAFC and the jackson modules.

For obd-o I would go Z dyne , We have installed and tuned tons of these and had great results , We even convert 0D1 and 2 cars to run Z dyne they work that well.
I have tunes for Turbo and supercharged ZCs , IM me if You need help.

so who the hell uses SAFCs if nobody recommends them?

wouldn't i benefit from using something like a hack so that it can be 'tuned down' for emissions?

Lots of people smoke too, but it isn't recommended.

You won't gain anything from the hack.

you can just as easily have an emissions tune on another chip, and then when you need to go get tested, you just swap out the programs. or you could burn the chip with two maps on it, with the emissions one triggered by a switch or something.

yeah you can run turboedit,
its just like uberdata/hondata/crom
but it runs on obd0

its what you want,
bigger injectors and a socketed ecu and go find yourself a dyno+tuner and ur set!

OH btw,
DITCH THE RC INJECTORS

they are a lucas disc type injector,
hondas do not come with lucas disc injectors, they use pintle type,

the spray patters are different,
I dont know why ppl use rc's on hondas.
dsm 450cc injectors are pintle type and have a good spray pattern,
try those.

I have read about people having bad stuttering problems caused by rc injectors.

I never knew the rc's were a problem....I just bought a used Jackson today for my SOHC and my friend was gonna sell me his new RC 440's for when i go to get tuned......Tad what are the stock injectors good till? Im looking to start out at like 6 psi and then go to 8 later. Should I be buying an aftermarket pump?

stock are 240cc, they're good for alittle over stock hp levels.
but I wouldnt mess around with them and boost. It's been done.. but I wouldn't want
to do it.

at 6psi just use the stock jr fmu and relay/switch setup, it works fine.

but for anymore psi get something better.

i would buy larger injectors right from the start.

with my ZC, mild port work, IM porting, head decked .030, my motor needed more fuel than the stock 240cc injectors could provide on any decent duty cycle.

thanks. i'll do a search on turboedit and try and learn a thing or two about it...

the thing i hate about buying DSM injectors, is who knows their condition. i guess their cost, plus the price of having them cleaned professionally could still be cheaper than the RCs...
