Default in-line pro headgasket question

Whats the thickness of their gsr gasket. Do they make one that dosent lower the cr? How much crush is there? I've heard good things about them, just not needed one till now. Thanks.

Excellent product, I used one for a long period of time before a dropped valve destroyed that motor. Not sure about thickness, advertised to drop compression a full point. AFAIK, they don't make one that doesn't lower c/r because their product that does lower c/r is simply a Honda headgasket with the middle layers removed and replaced with a copper section thick enough to lower the c/r 1 point.

Cool! So if I was building a motor for a specific c/r, I would go 1 point higher on the pistons.. 10:1piston+inline gasket=9:1 c/r

If you are building a motor for a specific compression you should just get the
pistons that will give you that compresison ratio rather than use a head
gasket.

I'm sorry I think I was not being clear. I am going with an ls/vetc with 83mm bore and may need a head gasket to fit that bore size. I only know of inline who says they can make a custom one so thats why I was talking of using their gasket.

Why 83mm??
You arent going to do this on stock sleeves are you?
With or without an inline gasket you'll still need to make a stock gasket 83mm to
fit to it.

Hey

The Inline pro head gasket is 2.7mm thick but in your situation I wouldn't use it.
If you want a nice good quality gasket try http://www.cometic.com/
and they should be able to provide you with customs, but don't take my word for it.

Just call and see.....
