From all you luders with experience with these two things, which one would you say is the best mod of the two, keeping in mind power, ease of installation, oh and of course power.

I was considering getting the AFC, but just want to get some second opinions on th issue.

 

AFC hands down. Venom modeul = scam. Lean's out the car to the point of causing damage at most altitudes. AFC has to be custom programmed for your car, but will not damage your car if tuned correctly. The only "tuning" the venom module does is step up your timing a bit and lean out your car causing detonation if you live in a state over 1500 ft.

 

Which AFC would you go with? I know that the most popular by far is the Apex'i AFC/VAFC, but i hear that HKS makes a pretty good module.

 

I have had no experience with the HKS unit and most people on HT use the Apex'i unit so I would grab the VAFC, unless you want the new unit but I think having one universal big button with a dial is cumbersome so I like the old unit more.

 

I've never had any exp. with the Venom module... but I read that basically it tells your car that you are pushing the gas down a little bit more than you actually are. So when you are at WOT, there's no difference.


I'd like to know for sure how it works... I've heard from many that it's a scam, but have only heard one explanation of how it "works." I've never really been too interested in it though... Their power gain claims seem too good... almost like boosting 3-5 psi.

The venom power control module is the worst scam ever.

I wish I could sue their asses for false advertisement.

i have a v-afc II brand new for sale if you want it

 

i like the feilds cause you can save presets, and jump between a street or strip or just a "lets smoke this chump" setting...kinda nice
