i have a 95 eg civic w/ a 2001 h22 swap... i was just wondering, what shifter should i go with... the 97-2001 shift box or the 93-96 shift box... i have the 97-2001 box right now and it scratches eveytime i up shift 1st,3rd,5th gear... it's only in those gear's. if the 93-96 gear box is better, is the shift cable compatible with the Euro R tranny...

 

The older shifter will fit underneath the plastic cover of your stock shifter, so it is better. The cover doesn't fit over the 97-01 shifter without some modification.

I don't know what you're talking about with the 'scratching,' and I don't know about the euro R trans

 

Im using the accord shifter box and shifter and I hate it. It barely fits under my console, its making the sides bulge out and I had to cut my console so I could get it in 5th and reverse. Im goin to get a prelude shift box and shifter whenever I found one local.

Well, i sort of have to force it into all the up shift gear and when i do, it seems as though it's scratching the flywheel... also, when i step on the clutch, i can hear the flywheel spining (just after i put a complete ACT Kit on it, prostreet flywheel and Extreme clutch kit) oh yeah, The Euro R Tranny is a JDM H22a motor that can be found in the Accord in Japan...
