civic with h22 swap question

i was wondering what someone used to cover the shifter asslembly or in other words shifter box? because the regular civic middle consle doesnt fit on their?

huh..?? not to be rude, but i dont understand in the least what the hell you're talking about... what's wrong with the stock shifter..?? my neigbors h22 hatch is still using oem shifter assembly/boot/bracket... i dont see where you're having an issue...

sorry.... i was talking bout the center console with the shift boot like the one below
because the stock civic eg one wont fit over the h22 shifter assembly

Sure it does, with the stock cup holder, you will need to trim the top part of the shifter (front where the cables go through) and make a gusset to support that part of the shifter.
You will also need to trim all the way around the shifter to provide clearance.
Just did 2 of them in the past 2 months. One with a factory radio bezel, one that is stock like yours.
Trim as much as you can without injuring anything in the cup holder mechanism, and trim the shifter, but remember to make some sort of support for the cable holders or they will buckle.
Both fit with plenty of clearance.

I don't even know why I posted that, there's so much information about the swap on h-t.
