Default Omnipower......

What is the ride quality like? I am looking to get soemthing with a fair ride-quality as I need to drive the car a couple times a week. If these aren't for me what would you suggest? I want coilovers and preferably soemthing with a threaded body shock.I don;t want to spend more then $1500 CAN. Anyway LMK.

If you want good quality. I wouldn't recommend these. My friend has them on his hatch, and they ride like ****.

Ride is more a funciton of the type of springs and damper then the cost. Most Coilover systems come with a linear spring, and that is going to ride stiffer than a lowering spring that is a progressice spring. If this is just for steer use and looks I would go with a lowering spring and some good shocks (Koni Reds, Tockico, AGX...)

Yeah I want adjustability and more drop then any lowering spring can provide.

to much drop can actually diminish your quality of ride/handling on any suspension. Function over form

You only drive the car a couple times a week? Bah, who needs ride quality.

I ride on 380#/450# F/R spring rates every day, 700+ miles per week.

<-- Koni Sport shocks and Koni-specific Ground Controls, about US$850 total with your choice of spring rate and spring length.

i have the omni's on my integra. 800k R and 600K F. I used to have vspec 2 coilovers w/ stock shocks. The ride quilty is much stiffer and the car feels more solid. Street handeling is much better but if you want to see how it really performes u should ask someone who put in some track time. IMO Omni

Forgot to mention, with my setup you get adjustable rebound damping on the shocks in addition to the ride height adjustment.

Straight swap, no modifications needed?

well yeah I don't know of any suspension setups that require you to modify anything.

true that, but you must remmeber that most people do themselves more harm then good with more adjustability. thats what i think anyway.

I have Tein SS on my ek coupe and omnis on my crx and teg, I prefer the omnis very much. all the cars are lowered about 1.5" with respective camber correction kits. The crx and the civic were properly cornerweighted, the teg hasnt had the chance yet.

I love the way the omnis always have preload on the suspension, its avery good design in my opinion. The teins were the best thing ive ever had before I got the omnis though. (Ive had JIC FLT's, progress coilovers, eibach sportlines, ground controls, and h&R coilovers).

I don't think the Omnis are that great. My friend has them on his civic, and it still doesn't seem to handle that well. When cornering the car feels like all 4 corners are trying to go their own ways. And they ride like complete ****. They aren't stiff, just bouncy as hell. I guess for the money, they are alright. But I would take Ground Controls/ Yellows anyday over them.
