my 01 accord is not idling right. i added a throttle body spacer while doing to i unhooked the coolant line. coolant ran out so i replaces it with 50/50 mixture. i got the idle right now but i cant pass 3000 rpms and if i try to floor it its dies down. what could be wrong?

Are you throwing any CEL (check engine lights)

The thing I would check is your vacuum lines are hooked up correctly.

im not to sure where my ecu is located. my check engine light is on but nothing out of the ordinary my cat and header set it off sometimes. i just took the car on a test run its ok in drive but in park and neutral its horrible. could it be that i need to adjust the little screw at the top of the throttle body.

might be the map sensor getting different readings due to the spacer.. or the sensor could have been damaged..

Replace it back to stock and see if it works back to normal. If not try to fix from a stock. It will be much easier to try to fix if everything is stock.

Those throttle spacers dont do anything for performance gains from what ive read. Try and reset the computer by unplugging the batt for awhile.

i think ima just put it back to stock i got it to work fine after completely resetting the ecu but after 10 miles or so it goes back to limp mode and the cel comes on. i really didnt want to do this cause i felt some gains and sounded hella koo. before i do that i wanna take of the idle something control off and clean it. is it located on the back of the intake manifold? if so its gonna be hard to get to? one more question the map sensor is the one on the backside of the throttle body right. sorry for all the ?'s im just used to working on nissans

If the Check Engine light is on, then the computer is telling you that there IS something out of the ordinary. When diagnosing a problem, start with the obvious. If the MIL is on, find out what the computer is telling you is wrong.
If you don't own a scan tool, take it to Autozone and have them scan it for you.
Then start there.

i found the vacuum leak it was coming out of the map sensor on the top i used some gasket sealer to stop it. now it runs great but sometimes it wants to die ima take it to autozone to scan it as soon as possible i could be a bad map sensor. plus my cel is not on . i still have the throttle body spacer on.
