Default computer problem

I have a 1998 Civic H/b, I put a 2000 Civic EX engine in and kept the DX wiring harness. I just picked up a 2000 Civic EX computer and a harness to change OBDIIA to OBDIIB and to use the EXs full potential (along with V-Tech).
I plugged the new computer and harness in and it is doing something weird.
At idle, it pulses from 1500 to 1600 Rpms, and when I give it gas, it only goes to 5000 Rpms.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem?
Please?

you are in limp mode. if you just got a conversion harness then i dont think that means vtec , not vtech, is wired up and your knock sensor isnt wired up, so hard wire those into the p2p and you will be all set. also you have to wired up components from your intake manifold

well, I haven't had the time to do anything yet, the snow came and motivation left.
so I am still waiting, I think I will have it under control, but if I don't, I'll come back here to seek more knowledge.
thanks for all your help.
