F22B sohc vtec swap into CD5 Lx, problem.......
Hey guys doing a jdm F22B(sohc vtec) auto into a CD5 accord lx automatic.
Everythings done, but the car has trouble starting and staying on.
I've been thinking it was several things, so I replaced the distributor, alternator, map, egr, spark plugs, fuel rail/injectors/fpr, but most of this I took off the running F22B2 engine. The timing was set at 15 degrees and double checked, I then pulled the covers off to check the TB and all the sprockets to see if everyting was lined up at TDC, and it was. I also check the firing order over and over again. I checked it at TDC with the dizzy cap off and made sure it pointed to the #1 cylinder and followed the 1-3-4-2 firing order.
The thing is that there are no cel's. When the car is running it bogs badly and the check engine will flash for a quick second as the car bogs, but no cel's are stored on the ecu.
Btw I dont have the O2 in the exhaust because there's no bung in the exhaust for it. I was thinking the car would be driveable to the muffler shop without it in the exhaust. It's plugged in, but dangling off the bottom of the car.
I think i've tried just about everything, and I'm up for any suggestions you guys might have. I'm baffled...
Thanks in advance.

Just tried using the LX ecu and the car starts easier, but still bogs. Drove it around the block and its a little more driveable.
Also the tach is going crazy, it's not smooth and jumps erratically. Maybe that will help more....

First thing, if its a JDM F22 it is non-vtec DOHC, but sounds like you have a USDM F22B1 SOHC vtec out of a 5th gen Accord EX.
My guess is it's the O2 sensor, but can't be too sure since i've never driven without it in the exhaust.
