B16A2 VTEC problem after swap.
The engine run well on other car. Swap it in to EG VTI hatch. And after swap from one to other car some strange think happens. Seems like VTEC electronically work but mechanically not. The sound of engine in VTEC are zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Engine hardly rev till 8200 as it must be in stock. And I can feel that there are no power in VTEC.
Start to check everything. Check wiring. When unplug both VTEC connectors. Immediately throw up 21 and 22 code. So, seems like there are response.
Change VTEC solenoid, distributor, spark plugs. That dose not help.
Couldn't believe that something could happend with rocker arms. Because engine till VTEC working very good. Or I forget about something when I did the swap.

probably sounds stupid but are you running the B16 ECU or are the fuel maps adjusted to run that motor?
If the fuel map is set too rich it will bog once it crosses to the high cam and this sounds like what your problem is.

You never believe what that could be. When did the swap inside the speed connector stick white pad from another trany speed sensor. So, this connector was not plugged very well on trany speed sensor. That's way there was no VTEC. ECU badly saw speed sensor data.
