ahhhh The roll pin, AKA the Bitch pin. use a roll pin punch, its diffrent then a regular punch. it has a nub at the end that should sit in the pin, and pop with a hammer, and ur free.

I used a tapered punch and a BFH. It was a little difficult but it was still a 30 second job. I don't see the big deal.

i removed my motor and tranny to get it out.

seriously though, just get a roll pin punch from matco or snapon or craftsman or whoever.. craftman is probably the cheapest.. just use that and a big hammer and punch it out.. you might have to get at it from the top due to not being able to get enough swing from the bottom.

An air hammer and a properly sized bit make it a 2 second job.

use a bolt from your car ( one with a 12mm head ) and a big ****** hammer. The width of the bolt is perfect for knocking the bitch pin out.

I prefer one of the two:

Craftsman 5/16" Drift Pin with Estwing 3 lb. Sledge Hammer

or

Air Chisel

I can do it with a screw driver, some extensions to hit it from the top around the engine bay and a hammer. The easiest part is getting it back in. Also, when you hit it out, make sure you know where it goes or you will be hating yourself later.

I find the easiest way is with a a/c compressor mounting bolt. Its tappered and fits in the end of the pin nice. Use a small sledge hammer and one or two strikes and its out. Thats it!

You need a Roll Pin Punch, 8mm or 5/16", and IT NEEDS TO HAVE THE NUBBY ON THE END! That little nubby keeps the punch centered on the pin.

On thing to keep in mind with the Bitch Pin, 90% of you efforts will go into making it move the first 1/16", the rest of the way is pretty easy. Be prepared for a good 5 minutes of nonstop whacking with the biggest hammer you can use.

Don't forget your saftey goggles too!

the best way is to use a bolt that you have removed from your car, like i belive the size that works is a 14mm bolt, then tap that thang till it comes out .

I used https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch and then I used a cutter to cut the shift linkage off cause I couldn't get the pin out. hehe first time pulling out a motor.

No I use a air hammer. Man Minnesota rust likes to creep in on that little bitch pin and make it sieze up.

Nonetheless this topic has been covered probably a hundred times.

Search "Bitch Pin" or "Roll Pin" you WILL find it.
