Default amp question

Can i run all 4 of my speakers (without a sub) on a 2 channel amp? Im a noob when it comes to audio stuff. Im looking at a 300w blaupunkt 2 channel amp to power my alpine type R's (components in the front and coax in the rear). The power ratings for the speakers are 50W rms and 40W rms, respectively. Will that amp be enough to power all 4 speakers?

....Well you could...but it wouldn't be all that great.

If you put the left speakers on one channel and the right on the other the amp would be seeing 8ohms, effectively halving the power output. Yes you could wire them to see 2ohms but the amp is probably not rated for that and the speakers wouldn't like it either...But thats another story. Also you wouldnt have any fader control.

If I was you Id run the Alpines on the Blaupunkt (They love power, got mine running on 122WRMS), and run the rears off the HU, after all they're only there for fill.

Or you could get a good 4channel, run the alpines of 2 channels and later on bridge the other 2 and run a sub.

what do you mean amp not rated for 2 ohms? almost all stereo amplifiers are 2 ohm stable. when bridged is when you have a problem.
