very dim clock... whats the problem?

Default very dim clock... whats the problem?

my clock is super dim i cant barely see what it says even at night. any suggestions does it need sto be replaced or what>

YOU MIght need to replace it....the white shows up good in the day time but amber sucks in the day time.......if its white and it sucks...you might need to replace!

if it's just the clock, have you checked all the wiring?

my clock and guages all go dim when I'm idling... especially when I have the system up.

i know how to use a dimmer switch... the wiring could be screwy though. the guy who owned the car before me replaced the gauge cluster and i have to hit the top of it sometimes cause the lights go out on that and my climate controls. i dont even have a radio in my car and the battery and alternator seem to be fine.

I had a similar problem......
The clock would be dim but get bright when i push in the flip cover (as if you were checking the time with the car off) It would get bright
If yours gets bright when you push in the cover, check the constant power to the clock....I had to run it direct from the fuse panel because for whatever reason(not the fuse) it didnt have constant power

mine did that also, i replaced a fuse under the hood and solved the problem.

cool then im gonan try that. i hate it when anythign is wrong with a car i own no matter how small so now that i have my new civic im tryign to work out every little bug it has.
