Default Electrical problem

I need to get this fixed tonight. I have to go to school early tomorrow and i have work. I was driving my car today after coming back from a trip and my cluster, clock, and radio started to flicker on and off. i didnt pay no mind to it until it shut off and i couldnt turn it on at all. I had my friend switch the alternator but that didnt work and i also tryed to jumped start it after the switch but still no response. Does anyone know what this could be?

Sounds like it may be a loose ground somewhere. Have you checked all your fuses? Possibly the battery itself is shot.

Yeah, you need to check your grounds.
If your electrical system was pretty saggy before, that could have been the last straw.

All i know is, i have a '99 ex and i checked the grounds a month after i bought it because it was bogging hard at low rpms and my grounds were dirty as crap. I had to buy an aftermarket engine ground, scrub the contact points on the body, and cut/re-crimp the ground terminal ends. Made a big difference.

If it's *just* your dash stuff and your headlights / interior lights / everything else works, then it's something more complex than that. You'd probably need to look into your interior wiring..

You probably have an aftermarket alarm, radio, or some crappy wiring under the dash ie gauge faces.

If your radio has an orange wire hooked up, cut it and cap the ends.
