Fuel Management Turbo B16 CRX??? HELP 15-18 psi
basically this is my set up.
crx si 88
b16a2 engine
b16 JDM LSD Cable Tranny
forged low compression pistons, somewhere in the 8:1's
forged rods
block guard
310cc prelude injectors
walbro hi flow fuel pump
i will also have a vortech fmu, and a garret t3/t4 turbo, greddy type s bov, fmic etc.....
my question is what can i use for fuel management for going over 10 psi. i have heard that a VAFC is only good for tuning 10 psi but i wanna do around 15-18 psi, what can i use for fuel management on that? any suggestions like uberdata or turboedit????
are 310cc injectors too small?
fmu is good up to about 8 psi,
i would never consider using the hack, it will advance your timing so much that your motor will be like a bomb waiting to blow.
As of right now there isnt a solid setup for turbo edit, there are ways to get it to work but the program doesnt support dohc vtec motors with boost.
So your alternatives are to either wait it out and see if they get it released (the have something in beta) or convert to obd1 and run uberdata.
To convert to obd 1 you will need
chipped p28
obd0-obd1 conversion harness
obd1 distributor
and bigger injectors
to run 18 psi im sure you will need a 3 bar map sensor!
Most shops that can tune hondata can also tune uberdata its just a matter of calling around and asking, if the wont tune it your going to need to add a wideband o2 to the mix and learn to tune on your own!
the last option is you can run a aem ems for the obd1 civic with a conversion harness and still use the obd0 distributor, according to aems support staff.

its okay to use if ur running with the fmu, but any ems will pretty much eliminate the need for it, so use that btm money and put it toward the upgrades above
well for i think i really wanna run 10-15 psi, would a VAFC, FMU and the MSD BTM be safe and reliable???
no it wouldnt, and the cost of all 3 of those combined would be more expensive than running a real engine management solution! uberdata is free, run something that works
