Default 2k1 civic turbo fuel

hey i just got a turbo for my 2k1 civic.....i am running 5 psi with stock internals....i know i need to upgrade my fuel and but i was wondering if anyone can help me on what i need. i know i need a vortech fmu, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump...and...i dontk now wat else. How long do you think i can last without any fuel mods?

Wow, thanks for the input *******.....

As for on topic, for 5 psi on my ZC I didnt really do much extra to the fuel. I ran a Adjustable FPR set like 10psi higher static and I had no troubles, no signs of detonation and it actually ran rich. to be on the safe side for you maybe get the FMU and that should be ok, if you have the money the AFC Hack works well. A walbro FI intank pump works well if you want a new pump that can handle higher PSI. Injectors really arent necessary unless you can find some 310s for cheap, anything above that and a stock ecu wont be able to run them properly. AFC hack would run up to 450s fine though.

thanks rexem for your input......but you know that the 2k1 civic has a weird fuel system right? people have been telling me that you have to change the car into a fuel return system or something like that. i dont know i am a nub when it comes down to turbos. I will get the fmu this week and get that put in asap. the afc??....i dont know....because i know that **** cost like 300 dollars...after the custom turbo kit my wallet is hurting you knwo what i mean..hahahahahahhaaa...thanks again...and no thanks to the other post....

I didnt know the new civics used a return less system, well then I dunno what to do...does it use a MAP sensor? if so the SMC would work for you do some searches on SMC

i think you are correct in saying that the newer civics dont have a fuel return line like the older civics have. I dont know what the fpr would look like or how exactly it works, or if it even has one, but id say get one if you can. 5 psi is really low boost though and you should not need much if anything, just dont get a boost controller.

Not sure about your cars fuel system, but I have an MSD inline and a 12:1 vortec FMU if you would like to buy them. i strongly recommend doing some more research on your car before you boost it. Get a Helms. Best $60 you'll ever spend. IM me if you want the fuel pump and the FMU.

the 2k1 civic has no return line and the pressure regulator is in the tank according to the manual. its the same as the rsx and new civc si.

Nope. You need to either convert to a return system or use a fuel computer to control bigger injectors or an additional injector.

That FMU will not work for you, you need a normal returning fuel system. Returnless systems cant use them

An FMU goes in line with the fuel return....now I dunno how that would be possible on a returnless fuel system.

Ask Tony1 from Jotech he can tell you how it's done. I've seen the pictures of d17's turbo set up. It's nice.
