DA integra brakes onto civic problem, they're sticking
Well, I made a thread in the CRX/EF civic section, but since this is also a general car question, and there is a broader band of people "in the know" in this section, I thought I'd make a thread here too.
I swapped all the disk brakes from a DA integra on to my 89 civic and everything was pretty smooth. I also installed SS brake lines. I haven't installed the "4040" proportioning valve yet.
I can drive the car, but I can feel the brakes staying on. When I get out, I can smell them. I tried opening the bleeder valves and screwing the rear caliper piston into the caliper, but it only helped for about 1/2 a day.
It got sooo bad yesturday that I blew a head gasket on the interstate trying to over come the brakes !! The HG is no problem, but I do need to know how to fix my brakes....
Here's a copy of the other thread if your interested https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1088795

the front are sticking too. There's no way the rear brakes have enough strength to stop a 200hp civic against its will. Plus the fronts smoke too, hehe.
