Default just finished my friends turbo mani. critiques please... 56k maybe....

car is a 98 240sx. ka24de.
304l sche10 pipe. 20 cfm. 308 filler. 3/32 tung. no back purge. just flux.

you must excuse the poor fitups in certain places, all i had was 4" angle grinder with a cutting wheel, and 14" chop saw. New bandsaw will be in right after xmas. and after reading a bit just found out i am doing things the wrong way and have been practicing engloids right way and it really helps alot. Thanks engloid!!!! so next manifold should be better.

thanks in advance.

it was just too difficult to get the cuts straight enough for a 4-1 collector on a chop saw so i had to do 4-2-1. next one will for sure though (bandsaws own). thanks

set-up is kinda dicky, even with a grinder and thats it you just got to take more time on the set-up. Makes it much more worth it in the end. Welds look half decent though.

the turbo sits real high, any clearance issues?

no clearance issues at all. i just jigged off his other mani (well not really just for placement) He orginally wanted a log top mount and i was like ehhh since i am doing it anyway, why not make it better. i was running out of straight, so i had to stop trying the 4-1 collector. don't think i didn't try atleast 3 times. his butt dyno says it feels faster and comes on harder than his old mani. but thats not saying much.

wastegate fell off bought this mani used online.

Most of the welds are consistent and look like this. however i am trying the correct method and getting better results,

PS: its funny i don't even skate any more, but i can't go back to regular shoes. i need lots of support that only skate shoes provide.

Looks like you got some serious head flange warpage. That could be tricky to fix!

Yeah don't count on pictures to tell if something flat/straight/square. The lens distorts stuff.

hey yeah, i'm the owner of the car and i think its pretty awesome, though im not a big fab/weld critiquer guy.

here's a picture of another manifold that i took about a year and a half ago. fabnewb doesnt suit you i believe this is a 3s-gte manifold, you did make this didnt you?

we'll get pics up near new years of the new stuff. gonna get a full 3" downpipe, a wastegate dump pipe, stainless intake pipe (this unit will be the icing!!!), and stainless piping for the precision intercooler i got in today
