Running Lean = Higher Timing Running Rich = Lower Timing
I was tuning the other day and mistakenly had my AFR going into 12's on low boost (12 psi) and noticed the engine stopped knocking. It just seems that low AFR of 11:1 makes the engine prone to detonation. It seems I can run more timing when running lean.
Anybody experiencing the same?

Maybe your not running enough timing.

How much timing are you currently running? Shouldn't knock less when you go leaner. Are you hearing the knock or picking it up on a computer? i.e. setup specs....
